RABAT, June 19 (Xinhua) -- Moroccan Prime Minister Saad Eddine El Othmani said on Tuesday that Morocco's exports have increased significantly in terms of quality and technological content under the free trade agreements.

Morocco signed free trade agreements with several parties, including the European Union, the United States and Turkey.

Othmani noted that over the past 10 years, Moroccan exports to the EU, the U.S. and Turkey have surged 6.1 percent, 16.4 percent and 30 percent respectively under the free trade agreements with them.

These agreements have also helped accelerate the pace of Morocco's reforms, notably by modernizing the legislative and regulatory framework for foreign trade, simplifying procedures, improving the business climate and the competitive capacity of domestic enterprises, as well as promoting foreign investment, he said.

In addition, the Moroccan prime minister reviewed the measures taken to avoid the negative impacts of free trade agreements on the economic and entrepreneurial fabric as well as on the national products, enhance the performance of the national economy and improve access of Moroccan products to the markets of trading partners.
