BANGKOK, April 10 (Xinhua) -- Bangkok Governor Aswin Kwanmuang revised the death toll from a fire in the capital's Central World shopping mall from three to two on Wednesday night.

The mall's operating company confirmed that 15 people were injured in the incident.

The two victims, one died at the scene and the other at a hospital, jumped off the shopping mall amid thick smog and people's cries.

The operating company said in a statement that the duo were their employees and 15 people were injured due to smoke inhalation.

The company said they would attend to all the victims and their families while also confirming that the situation is now under control.

The fire broke out at 17:40 local time at the 8th floor of Bangkok's Central World shopping mall and the fire was extinguished at about 18:10 local time, according to the company.
